Jeffery VolkheimerJeffery Volkheimer

Jeff is currently acting as Interim Manager of Web Services. He specializes in .NET and PHP development and has particular interest in rich internet applications and portals. He is currently leading the CHAVI Management Portal project, implemented in Microsoft Sharepoint 2007. This high profile project is the cornerstone for the renewal and management of the Center for HIV-AIDS Vaccine Immunology's 300 million dollar grant.

Ling has been working in IT field in different roles for 10 years, but mainly enjoyed development because of its demand on sophisticated logic and practicability, and also found beauty in debugging and figuring out how to make programs and applications work. She mainly works with tools in sun, java, unix, ibm, open sources, but first spent 2 years developing in C++ right after school, slightly touched upon microsoft tools like visual basic and visual C++. She has worked for companies like CheckFree, Compuware, Wachovia and Bank of America.

Joseph Fobert is working on the Health View Portal Development project applying Java and IBM Websphere technologies. He has several years of experience in building and leading Java2 Enterprise Edition and other object oriented enterprise software. His present focus is towards establishing a cutting edge patient's online experience for Health Services at Duke.
 

Sudha Srikantaswamy Sudha Srikantaswamy

Sudha Srikantaswamy is part of Duke Healthview Portal Development Team that engages the latest Java and WebSphere Technologies. She has been in software development since 1996 working with various emerging technologies and software delivery platforms. Her experience is spread over the domains of satellite telecommunications, supply-chain e-commerce, banking applications and currently Health Information Technology. She enjoys the challenges of Duke Health System's innovative and pioneer project that creates and provides quality patient healthcare experience.
 
 

Educational Solutions

Anthony Benson Anthony Benson

Anthony uses his extensive background and Master's in Instructional Media to deliver educational resources with the best of current technology. While he once worked in Basic, Hypercard, then Videodisc, CD ROM and Lotus Notes Domino servers, this need is now met with database driven web applications created in ASP and .NET with a Microsoft SQL server back end. He also works extensively with the Drupal and Xoops framework, setting up and maintaining web sites that allow for direct client updates, by using PHP pages accessing a MySQL database running on an Apache server. Production of these educational modules and sites also draw on Anthony's extensive background in photography, film and video production, with their subsequent conversion for digital delivery.
 

Donald Phillips Donald Phillips

Moving from traditional art mediums to digital, Don has been working with graphic design, multimedia and internet technologies for ten years. Clients he has worked with include: NASA, The New York Stock Exchange, Abbott Laboratories, the National Institute of Health and many others. Since joining the Web Services team, Don has implemented advances in multimedia, information architecture and is currently supervising the re-branding for DHTS and The Duke School of Medicine.
